Zusammenfassung

Patientenindividuelle glenoidale Implantate stellen eine innovative Behandlungsmöglichkeit für glenoidale Knochendefekte mit kurzfristig hoffnungsvollen Ergebnissen dar. Die Mehrkosten für das Verfahren sind allerdings durch das aktuelle DRG-System („diagnosis-related groups“) nur unzureichend abgebildet, so dass die bei entsprechender Indikation indizierten Versorgungen dieser Art in der Praxis nicht durchführbar sind. Eine Lösung kann eine fallindividuelle Betrachtung der entsprechenden Implantatkosten auf der Basis von Zusatzentgelten sein. Diese Vereinbarungen sind für den individuellen Standort zwischen Krankenhaus- und Krankenkassenvertretern zu verhandeln.

Abstract

Custom-made glenoid implants represent an innovative treatment option for glenoid bone defects with promising short-term results; however, the additional costs of this procedure are inadequately covered by the current German diagnosis-related groups (DRG) system, so that even with the appropriate indications it is not possible to carry out this form of treatment in practice. A solution could be a case-individual consideration of the implant costs concerned based on supplementary remuneration. These agreements are to be individually negotiated between representatives of the hospital and the health insurances.
